We are proud to celebrate the achievements of our students in this year\u2019s IGCSE examinations. For context: IGCSE grades range from 9, the highest, to 1, with grade 4 considered a pass.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s results were excellent. Thirty-six percent of all grades awarded were at 9\u20138, forty-five percent at 9\u20137, and eighty-eight percent at 9\u20134. Every student achieved at least three passes at grade 4 or higher, seventy-seven percent achieved at least five passes, and fifty-nine percent achieved seven or more.<\/p>\n

ISZN was also ranked as the number one Cognita school in Europe for \u201cvalue added\u201d in the IGCSE examinations. Value added is a measure of the progress students make compared to their baseline predictions; in other words, it reflects how much students exceeded expectations based on their starting point. This recognition highlights not just strong outcomes, but also the exceptional growth our students achieved during their IGCSE journey.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reflecting on these results, Exams Officer and Deputy Head of Secondary Daniel Nowell shared, \u201cWe are incredibly proud of our students\u2019 IGCSE results. There are so many individual success stories, and we have celebrated some of these in our assembly. On average our students performed one grade higher than their baseline CAT4 predictions.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Friday the Secondary School came together for an Assembly to recognise the outstanding performances of individual students. Certificates were presented to the highest achievers in each subject, including Mariia R. in Art, Aryan P. in Business Studies, Tamara E. in both Co-ordinated Science and English Language, Harri H. in Computer Science and History, Vihaan T. in English Literature, Raphael D. in French, Enzo T. in German, and Tamara E. again in Mathematics. In addition, special awards were presented to Evgenia G. and to Aryan P.<\/p>\n

Outstanding Academic Growth – Evgenia G.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This award was presented to the student who achieved the highest average value added across their subjects. We are thrilled with the outstanding progress Evgenia has made over the past two years \u2014 her average value added of 3.1 grades is truly exceptional.<\/p>\n

Outstanding Achievement – Aryan P.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This award is presented to the student who achieved the highest academic performance in the IGCSE examinations. We are proud to recognise Aryan P., who earned seven Grade 9s and one Grade 8 \u2014 a truly outstanding set of results.<\/p>\n

The results also highlight the strength of our subject departments. Four subjects achieved a one hundred percent pass rate with an average grade of 7 or higher: Computer Science, English Language, French, and German. In both Computer Science and French, more than half of the students were awarded the top grade of 9.<\/p>\n

As our students now transition from IGCSEs into A-Levels, they will begin to specialise in subjects that reflect their strengths and future aspirations. This stage demands independence, critical thinking, and strong time management skills, preparing them not only for university pathways but also for wider opportunities beyond school.<\/p>\n

Commenting on this next step, Daniel Nowell noted, \u201cWe highly commend the dedication our teachers have shown in preparing students for their exams. We believe strongly in our students\u2019 potential and look forward to seeing them thrive in this next stage of their journey.\u201d<\/p>\n
