Welcome to York Prep Admissions
The Admissions team is here to help determine if York Prep is the right environment for your child through a welcoming and transparent admissions process.
The admissions process begins with a completed application. York Prep Admissions uses online applications through Ravenna. Ravenna allows you to apply to York Prep and track the status of your application online.

Admissions Step-by-Step
Attend an Information Session (Optional)
Information sessions are a great way to meet the York Prep community and learn more about our school’s offerings. Families will meet current faculty, parents, and students on-campus to learn more about the school and admissions process.
Start Application
Apply online through Ravenna.
The application requests a photograph of the applicant. We prefer a photo that clearly shows the candidate’s face.
Transcript and Recommendations
Request a transcript from the applicant’s current school. Plan to ask current English and Math teachers, and guidance counselor/dean, to fill out the reference forms through Ravenna.
You are welcome to submit additional references.
Additional Documentation
Students applying for the Jump Start program must submit a current (within 2-3 years) neuropsychological evaluation and/or an IEP to be eligible for the Jump Start program.
Tours & Interview
Tours and interviews are an essential component of the admissions process. These events are an opportunity to get to know the building and see York Prep in-action. Students and parents receive a walk-through of our building, followed by a conversation with the admissions team. Tours and interviews occur after a child’s application is completed. You will be able to self-select an interview time slot through Ravenna.
Admissions Decisions Released
Admissions decisions will be released on the following dates:
Grades 6-8: February 13th
Grades 9-12: February 21st
